Dairy Queen

Craving an ice cream, Dairy Queen is the place to go. Dairy Queen in Statesboro is located at 1 Northside Dr., East. It is a great fast food restaurant that is famous for its burgers, blizzards, and ice cream.

They have any kind of ice cream that you can imagine. You can get the ice cream in a cup or a cone; topped with your favorite topping.

My favorite item is the blizzards. They usually have a different kind every month. You can get an oreo blizzard, a M&M blizzard, plus many more.

They now have the Dairy Queen Cakes, which can be for any occasion: birthdays, graduation, etc.
Most everything on their menu is below $5.00, which is hard to beat. The
combos come with fries and a drink.

They offer burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, chili, milkshakes, and much more.

I usually get a double cheeseburger with fries and a vanilla milkshake. If I am having a sweet tooth, I usually get an oreo blizzard or a dipped cone.

If you are looking for something fast and also want dessert to go along with the meal, Dairy Queen is the place to go. This blog has got me craving an ice cream, I think I will go to Dairy Queen and get one. Until next time, Happy Dining!

McAlister's Deli

McAlister's Deli is a wonderful place to go and get almost any kind of deli sandwich. It is located at 1100 Brampton Avenue, Suite A, in Statesboro. They are open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. McAlister's is more expensive than say Blimpie or Subway, but the few extra dollars are definitely worth it. The history of McAlisters is also extremely interesting.

They have great service. You can go in and order your food and a waitress will bring it out to you, while also making sure that your every need is provided. I love that about McAlister's. The employees are extremely friendly, which makes the dining experience enjoyable.

McAlister's is famous for their sweet tea. You can buy a glass or buy a whole gallon of tea. I absolutely love it!

The choice of the month right now is the peach habanero. You can get the habanero club, chicken, or turkey. It is basically a deli sandwich with a peach sauce on it. I have not tried it yet, but it definitely looks yummy!

McAlisters also offers wraps, soups, salads, and spuds. They have a pot roast spud, which is a baked potato topped with pot roast, gravy, and carrots. It is absolutely wonderful. I urge everyone to try it.

My favorite thing at McAlister's is the club sandwich. It is a ham and turkey sandwich with bacon, cheese, and honey mustard. I usually get the potato soup with mine, and of couse, a glass of sweet tea. This meal usually costs me about $9.00, which is a little more than I would usually pay for a deli sandwich, but it is worth it!

McAlisters is new in town and is usually packed at lunch time. I love the inside. The walls are packed with treasures of Statesboro.

McAlisters is a great place to eat. I encourage everyone to try it, and I guarantee that you will love it. Until next time, Happy Dining!

You can get most meals as combos, which comes with fries and a drink. They have zalads, which are the famous Zaxby's salads. You can get the chicken on the salad either grilled or fried.

The most popular item on their menu is the chicken finger plate, which is fried chicken fingers, crinkle fries, cole slaw, and zax sauce (or either honey mustard). You can also get the zax snack which chicken tenders, fries, toast, and a drink (but in a smaller portion).
They also have onion rings, wings, and chicken salad. They prepare your food for you while you wait to insure freshness to every customer. Zaxby's is famous for its hospitality and good service.

They also have party platters, which are great for all occassions.

My favorite thing at Zaxby's is the club sandwich which is 3 fried chicken tenders on texas toast with tomatos and cheese. I usually get the combo, which comes with fries and a drink. This usually costs me about $7.00.

I would definitely recommend Zaxby's to anyone who loves chicken. You should definitely check it out. It would be well worth it. Until next time, Happy Dining!

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a college student's best friend. With its low prices and great Mexican cuisine, it's hard to beat. You can go in Taco Bell and get a meal for under $5.00. Taco Bell is located at 224 Main St., Statesboro. You can go through the drive-through or go dine in. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the weekends they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

They offer tacos, burritos, gorditas, chalupas, quesadillas, nachos, and much more. Most everything on the menu is pretty cheap. Right now, they are offering a new special, the steak gilled taquitos combo which comes with a taco and a drink for around $4.00. They also have a 1/2 pound cheesy bean and rice burrito, which I would recommend.

I go to Taco Bell all the time. I usually get the crunchwrap combo. The crunchwrap is a grilled burrito in your choice of beef or chicken stuffed with lettuce, cheese, and a crunchy taco shell. It comes with a drink and a hard or soft taco. Taco Bell offers Pepsi products. If you dine in, you can have all the free refills you want.

They also have what is called the Fourth Meal "The meal between dinner and breakfast." This is basically a late night value menu for all you "late nighters" out there.

I always hear students talk about Taco Bell. It is the perfect place for a college student to go if they can't sleep or just want a great, tasty and cheap lunch. Until next time, Happy Dining!

Ocean Galley

Ocean Galley is a tasty and affordable, and actually the only seafood restaurant in Statesboro. It is located at 503 Northside Dr. in Statesboro, next to Big Lots. It has a very casual setting and has party rooms for birthdays or office parties. The price range is from around $5.00 to about $20.00. They accept cash and all major credit cards. They offer plates of your favorite seafood such as shrimp, lobster, fish, etc.

They are famous for their catfish. You can get the catfish fried, baked, basically anyway you like it. They also offer food such as gator tail, turtles, and any salt-water fish that you can think of.

They offer a lunch menu in which you can choose one or two items ranging from fried catfish, fried or grilled shrimp, scallops, oysters, plus much more. You can choose one for $6.50 or two for $7.95. This comes with hushpuppies and your choice of two sides, including fried okra, cheese grits, cole slaw, french fries, baked potato, plus much more.

They have an early bird special from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in which you can get fried shrimp, stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried catfish, or oysters for only $6.95. This comes with the famous tuna dip appetizer, a drink, two sides, and key lime pie. What a bargain!!

They also have chicken fingers, hamburgers, and corn dogs for all you "non-seafood" eaters.

I love Ocean Galley Seafood. My grandmother and I usually meet there every Thursday to enjoy lunch together. My usual is the fried shrimp with a baked potato and cheese grits. I can't go there without having some of the tuna dip. I definitely recommend it.

Ocean Galley Seafood is a place for everyone to go enjoy seafood and casual dining for a low price.
