Subway

Subway is one of the many fast-food restaurants specializing in sandwiches. With 4 locations in Statesboro, Subway is one of the more popular deli places, considering food quality and price.

Subway offers a different sandwich every day of the week for $2.49 for a 6-inch sandwich. You can get the meal which comes with a drink and either chips or fruit. They now have a fit evolution, which is a way to eat healthy and still enjoy deli sandwiches. I'm sure that we have all heard about Jared, who lost a lot of weight while eating Subway. Subway can be really healthy if you want it to be.

Subway has any kind of sandwich. Ham and turkey, roast beef, meatball, sandwiches are only just a few. They are now offering wraps and breakfast.

I usually get a ham and turkey or either check out the sandwich of the day. Until next time, Happy Dining!

They offer anything from fried chicken breasts to wraps. The KFC on North Main Street has a buffet for lunch that is about $6 a person.

My favorite thing at KFC is the Mashed Potato Bowl, which is popcorn chicken, cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn mixed together in a bowl. It is absolutely wonderful. You can't get better chicken from anywhere else. Until next time, Happy Dining!

McDonald's

McDonalds is definitely a college students' best friend. How can you beat a chicken sandwich or a double cheeseburger for only one dollar. McDonald's is located at 710 Georgia Avenue in Statesboro and also a new one opened not long ago on Fair Road in Statesboro. They are open 24 hours for your convenience. For all you partiers and late-night workers, McDonalds is the perfect place to go and get almost anything you want for a very low price.

They offer hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches (grilled or fried), chicken nuggets, salads, fries, plus much much more.

McDonald's is also incorporating a more healthy menu by offering fruit and wraps along with yogurt. On the McDonalds website you can do what is called Bag a McMeal, which tells you how many calories and fat is in what you are eating.

They also offer Happy Meals for kids on order to support the Ronald McDonald House.

I love going to McDonald's and ordering a McChicken sandwich and a small coke on the Dollar Menu. It comes out to be a little over $2.00. Cheap and tasty!! Until next time, Happy Dining!

Arby's

Arby's is a fast food restaurant that offers signature sandwiches along with much more. It is located at 622 Fair Road in Statesboro. They are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Arby's is a little more expensive that most fast-food restaurants, but the price difference is worth it.

Arby's offers deli-style ham, turkey, or roast beef sandwiches on their menu, along with chicken sandwiches and their famous curly fries. They also offer side kickers, which are their version of sides. These kickers include cheese stix, onion peels, loaded potato bites, and jalapeno bites.

They also offer their melts, which can be anything from a roast beef and chedder melt to a ham and swiss melt. The market fresh sandwiches and wraps are my favorite. They have your choice of ham, turkey, or roast beef with swiss cheese along with a tangy sauce and tomatos and onions. They have great market fresh salads and wonderful milk shakes and desserts.
Arby's is usually my first choice in getting a healthy sandwich. The restaurant is clean and a great place to go dine with friends between classes. In the GeorgeAnne, the Georgia Southern newspaper, they give out coupons to eat at Arbys. The popular thing on their menu right now is the Beef-N-Chedder Roast Beef Sandwich. You should definitely try it.

If you are struggling for money, check out the George Anne for Coupons. It will be worth your while. Until next time, Happy Dining!

And for dinner, feast on pastas, fajitas, steaks, and ribs. The price ranges from about $6-$15. It is a nice restaurant with a friendly staff and atmosphere.

They also have a Weight Watchers Menu for all of you that are trying to look good in your bathing suit for the summer. The meals on this menu may be healthier but they are still tasty.

Applebee's also offers the Car-Side-To-Go. This is where you can call in your order and they bring it outside to you. You never have to leave your car. How convenient!

They have great pasta dishes along with tasty steaks. I personally like the appetizer sampler, which comes with spinich dip, wings, cheese stick, and quesidillas. The have about 7 different types of salads, which will definitely fill you up.

Between the great food and the great service, Applebee's is one of my favorites in Statesboro. I love everything that I have ever had there. I like their salads, burgers, and steaks. The fried shrimp is also wonderful.

Until next time, Happy Dining!

Loco's is a wonderful place to go to eat and hang out with friends. It is located at 91 Briarwood Lane in Statesboro, right off of the bypass. They are open Monday-Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It mainly attracts college students because of the food and the bar. It has a room dedicated to the bar and they often have live entertainment during the week. On Wednesday they have Trivia night. This restaurant mainly appeals to younger people, however, older people still love to come in and dine on their great deli sandwiches and salads.
Locos is also affordable. Everything on their menu ranges from about $5 to $14. They offer many different kinds of sandwiches from the club to a chicken parmesan sandwich. They also have salads, basically any kind. They now are starting to offer Mexican-style foods, in which they call "South of the Border." The most famous thing about Locos is their list of appetizers. You should definitely check them out. They are worth the trip in itself.

They are also famous for thier wings. You can get them in any flavor. Yumm!!

I love to go to Locos. It is a fun place to be, and a great place to eat. I usually get the club sandwich which comes with a side (fries, veggies, cole slaw, etc.) and a pickel. The atmosphere at Locos is fun for all, especially college students. I definitely recommend you going to check it out. The live entertainment is awesome. Until next time, Happy Dining!

Longhorn Steakhouse

Longhorn Steakhouse is a great place to go and get a nice dinner with a great atmosphere. Longhorn's is located at 719 Northside Drive, East in Statesboro. They are open on Sunday-Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. They only thing about eating at Longhorn's on a Friday and Saturday night is the long wait. It is usually booming with people every day of the week, even at lunch time.

They offer many different varieties of food, but they are famous for their juicy steaks. They also have chicken, salads, shrimp, along with many other tasty foods.

The price range is from about $8.00 to $22.00. Their signature steak is called "The Longhorn," which is a huge T-bone steak. You can get it with two sides, ranging from baked potato, sweet potato, mashed potatoes, french fries, vegetables, or a side salad. They have one of the best ceasar salads in town. They also give a loaf of bread and butter to everyone. You should definitely try their honey butter.
This restaurant is a great place to go out to eat with family or on a date. The atmosphere is very great and makes going out to eat fun.

They usually offer signature meals during certain times. Right now, they are offering "The Outback," which is a huge steak, and the Shrimp and Lobster dip, which is wonderful.

Dining is casual and the manager says, "they have the best steaks in business." They have a bar inside the restaurant and also outside seating is available. They have a lunch menu, which is a little cheaper than dinner, but it still is good.

My favorite thing to eat at Longhorns, actually I ate there last night, is the grilled shrimp. I get mashed potatoes and a garden salad with ranch dressing. Longhorn's is a great place to go get a nice dinner. Even though it can be a little pricy, the food is definitely worth it. Until next time, Happy Dining!
